The production and processing of hardware stamping parts require multiple process flows. 1、 Reasons for cracking of hardware stamping parts:

1. Excessive local tensile stress
During the processing, due to excessive local tensile stress, the metal stamping parts are affected by internal stress, external impact, etc., resulting in local large bulging deformation and cracking.

2. Inadequate execution of forming process parameters
In the process of forming parts, the process requires that the concave die, the pressing core, and the two parts must be tightly fitted together. When the machine tool slide slides down, the plastic deformation of the plate material is compressed to achieve forming. The processing technicians did not adjust the machine tool pressure in a timely manner according to the specified process requirements at this stage, resulting in unstable work and cracking of the stamped parts.

3. Design defects of flanging forming molds
The die is shared by the left/right parts of the first mock examination and two cavities. In addition to flanging, this process also contains shape forming content. In addition, the parts are particularly complex, the bending surface is narrow, and the forming requirements are that the concave die pressing core should be consistent with the forming surface. As a result, the forming stroke of the die structural conditions is large, the pressing surface is small, and cracking occurs.

2、 Methods for preventing cracking in metal stamping parts:

1. Deep drawing process for metal stamping parts: the drawing direction should strive to make the contact area between the convex die and the billet as large as possible, the reasonable shape of the pressing surface and the edge pressure should make the resistance of each part of the pressing surface uniform and moderate, reduce the drawing depth, open process holes and process notches, etc.

2. The structural design of hardware stamping parts: In the design, it is best to have larger fillet radii, shallower actual depth of the curved surface shape in the drawing direction, more uniform depth in all areas, and simpler shapes with smoother changes.

3. Hardware stamping part mold design: Reasonable design of deep drawing ribs, use of larger mold corners, and reasonable clearance between convex and concave molds can be taken as measures.

During the processing of metal stamping parts, many faults and defects such as cracking may occur. These require the employees of the processing manufacturer to design reasonably and operate carefully in order to prevent and reduce the occurrence of defects in metal stamping parts and improve product quality.
